Tier2 ICT to Tier 2 General Visa

Hello,

I am in UK with Tier 2 ICT and would like to switch to Tier 2 General. Since there is a 12 months cooling off period required, Can I go to Europe instead of Home country and apply for Tier 2 General Visa after 12 months?

Do I need to go back to home country to apply General visa or can I apply from Europe please.

If I go out to Europe now, what are the documents will be required to prove that I am outside of UK for 12 months. Is it only Exit and entry stamp in passport?

Yes you can go to Europe and apply it after completing 12 months cooling off period.

Basically Entry/Exit stamps are enough.

You can apply from any country where you have legal residence, ie not a visitor.
