Previous Earnings: Salary Slips

Post by w55 » Thu Jul 03, 2008 6:56 pm

Hi,

In the BIA guide line referring to the section it says:

allowances (such as accommodation, schooling or
car allowances) that form part of an applicant’s
remuneration package;will be considered as earnings

Are Allowances such as

1) Tax Free Allowance,
2) Indian salary payed in UK pounds

considered in the earnings?

Also for earnings what is considered net or gross pay considered?

If there being have been deductions in the gross pay for a loan amount will it affect the earning point table?

Regards
W55

Hi,
Indian salary paid in UK pounds would however be accepted provided they are not duplicated by showing your india payslips as well.
Any allowance that is included as part of your salary and included in the payslips will be accepted as earnings.
For earnings criteria I suggest you refer the document very carefully than to rely on forums as there are lot of catches in the same.
Thanks

If you are working in UK legally and paid a salary in UK sterling. And you are obeying the laws of land by paying the tax and NI, then it should be considered. Also any amount you consider to be salary should be in your salary slip.

I am not sure if you can show salary in Uk and elsewhere as well for the same month.

As mentioned by urgentr, read the guidance carefully line by line and am sure you would get the answers.

Hi,
Just to add to the previous reply. You can be earning in UK as well as elsewhere which is in line with the regulations. However u can note in the guidance that u can show salary from 2 countries earned simultaneously.
U only need to be careful as to showing 2 seperate proofs for each source of earnings.
Thanks and all the best.
