FLR (M) self employed financial requirement

Post by nani9 » Mon Jun 17, 2019 11:33 am

Hi Everyone

I have submitted my wife application FLR (M) and uploading the documents now, unsure about the financial requirement category

Myself Director of a limited company taking salary and dividends from the company

Total Net Salary after tax for 12 months: £11,800
Total net dividends for 12 months : £12,000

But confusing with my accounts, last page on the account shows:

Total turnover: £81,400
cost of sales: £15,000
Gross profit: £66,400
Administrative expenses: Employee salaries, rent, and other expenses deducted: £30,000
Operating profit/loss: £36,400
Tax on profit on ordinary activities: £18,600
UK corporation tax: £3,600
Profit/loss for the financial year: £14,954

The above figure confusing me profit/loss for the financial year is £14,954 which is less than £18,600 requirement however my salary and dividends meets the required financial requirement of £18,600

please advice on above

Thank you very much in advance

Dividend voucher template/sample

Post by nani9 » Fri Jun 28, 2019 10:15 am

Hi Everyone

prepping my wife visa application FLR (M) I'm unsure about the financial requirement category.

self-employed/director of a limited company I have to show £18,600 net profit. taking salary + dividends on every month from company.

My question is taking £1500 dividends on every month the dividend figure should match with gross dividend or net dividend figure.

I mean transferring £1500 dividends from business to current account, the £1500 should be gross or net?

if any one have applied through self-employed/director route please share your dividend voucher template and let me know what figure should match please

Thank you very much in advance.

Your £11,400 salary comes out of the "Employee salaries, rent, and other expenses deducted: £30,000" line
Your £12,000 dividend comes out of the "Profit/loss for the financial year: £14,954".

HTH!

The dividend voucher shows the gross dividend (total amount).

I can't attached a picture, but mine (roughly) looks like this:

"
DIVIDEND TAX VOUCHER
My Company LIMITED

Dividend in respect of the year ended 31 Jan 2018 payable to shareholders registered at the close of business on 31 Jan 2018.

Shareholder: Me

Code: Select all

No. Ordinary Shares Dividend Rate Dividend Payable
1 £20,000.00	£20,000.00
Signed: Me.
Director

____
31 Jan 2018.
"
It's pretty sparse.

Thank you very much for your reply AdeV

Sorry for your spouse visa refusal, hopefully it will overturn in appeal.

Please answer the below question if you don't mind

Checklist states:

Dividend vouchers for all dividends declared in favour of the person during or in respect of the period covered by the Company Tax Return CT600 showing the company's and the person's details with the person's net dividend amount and tax credit for Mr XXXX at XXX Ltd

1) Have you provided the dividend vouchers for every month (I mean 12 months/12 dividend vouchers) are just one dividend voucher for full financial year with gross figure on it?

2) Where you showed your net dividend amount and tax credit in the template.

I can't see any net dividend/tax credit on the below template you attached earlier.

No. Ordinary Shares Dividend Rate Dividend Payable
1 £20,000.00 £20,000.00

Please let me know your thoughts

Thank you very much in advance
