Switch from ICT Tier 2 to ICT General within UK

Hi,

I am presently on ICT Tier 2 visa and want to change my employer by switching to Tier 2 General. I came to London in June 2014. Is it possible to switch and if yes, can cooling off avoided in my situation?

You can't switch to tier 2 general from tier 2 ICT within the UK.

You are subject to the 12 month cooling off period unless your tier 2 general job is on a salary of £159,600pa or more.

Not sure what "your situation" is that you believe cooling off might not apply to you.

Oh my lord!, the UKBA has become so harsh! It should have been half (around £75K) in my opinion?
