ILR BRP card expires in less than 5 years

Post by yukapion » Thu Jul 11, 2019 1:51 pm

Thank you all for helping- I have successfully received my ILR BRP card today. I have a question and I wonder if anyone can help me please? The BRP expires 31/12/2024. So that's only 4 and half years? I know the it usually last 10 years? Is it a mistake or is it because of a new policy? I would be grateful if anyone can answer this for me please.
Thanks in advance!

If you had taken the time to read the 100s of posts about this, you will see that it is the date set by the EU for all biometric documents to be updated and enhanced with new security features!!!

You will simply have to renew the card at that point if you don't apply for citizenship.
