Please can anyone help me out? From experiences, what is the service guidelines for standard Tier 2 applications?

8 weeks from application date or 8 weeks from biometrics date?

Also, can my tier 2 sponsor contact the home office?

8 weeks from biometric date as that is the point your application process starts with ho.

Thanks for your quick response. Is it possible to withdraw my standard application after biometrics and submit another application with priority service?

Also, please can my tier 2 sponsor contact the home office to chase my application? I've applied since 8th of May
