Received email from immigration meant for somebody else

Hi,

Just a little background. I applied for visa extension 8-9 weeks ago (in UK) and received my approval last week stating to wait for BRP to be delivered within 7 working days.

This week i received email from ukvisupport asking me, why i want to withdraw my application.

Well this is a shock to me as i didnt make any such request. I called UKVi and they think that some other applicant would have asked for withdrawal and may have given the number incorrectly. Anyways, i responded to the email straightaway stating that o have not made any withdrawal request.

I have not received any communication, not my BRP and UKVI support center cant help me either. I have no clue who could help me.

If anyone knows anything in this regard, that'd be helpful.
