Children Naturalisation Applications

Post by talreh20 » Thu Aug 15, 2019 12:56 pm

Dear respected members,

I need to apply for my children naturalisation applications. Two children. Question: Do 1 need 4 referees (two referees for each application) or would 2 referees be sufficient for both applications?

Many thanks in advance.

Children do NOT naturalise, they have to be registered as British :!:
You use the same referees for both. Use form MN1

Dear Respected Members,

Can you please confirm if the referee needs to sign the back of the photo of my kids? The reference form states that "You should write their name and date of birth on the back of the photo and glue it to the form".

As the form needs to be uploaded on UKVCAS, does the photos still needs name and DOB?

Kindly confirm.

Kind regards

Hi everyone

I was about to file the applications for my two kids born in the UK to register them as British.

I noticed that there are certain questions which are present in one application form and are completely missing on the other form. I also started another application with a different email address to see if there were any updates to the form but still not getting these questions for the second applicant. Below questions does not appear in the second application:

1- Do you have a Valid Passport?
2- You are unable to provide your passport with your application because:
3- Do you have national identity card?
4- Do you have a most recent expired national identity card?
5- Do you have a travel document?
6- Explain why you are unable to provide either a valid national identity card or a travel document?

So these questions are not available in the second application.

Can any one advise please? what should i do? Should I use different email address to file the applications separately or is it fine to file the applications through one account?

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Also, is it compulsory to provide passports? My little ones do not have Pakistani passports as we had no plans to travel since there birth so we did not register them as Pakistani nationals.

Is that going to be a problem?

One more question if moderators kindly reply:

My one child is 2 years old and second child is 4 months old, In relation to the referees,

- Health visitors have absolutely refused to provide their details.
- My children are too young to go to school. So teachers are not a possibility.
- Minister of religion is also not a possibility as children are too young to go to the mosque.
- We don't know any social worker.

Can some one kindly advise what should i do now. Referee form guidance states that it is a must that one referee MUST be a professional who has engaged with a child in a professional capacity.

Please help. Can I get two regular references like for adults? One professional and one British citizen?

NO. Registration under MN1 does NOT require any of those

Many thanks Zimba for your kindly reply.

Can you please advise what should I do with the referres? I can't get a referee who has engaged in a professional capacity with my kids. I have a reference from a doctor but he is a family friend. Would that be ok if I submit the application with that? referee?

Thank you Zimba

Just a last few questions as I am uploading the documents for our appointments:

1- Checklist asks for Proof of mother's parental responsibility and proof of father's parental responsibility: I presume they mean the birth certificate? Can you please advise if that is the case?

2- In regards to the consent of parents, the checklist says that the letter must have their full names and their addresses. The consent form that we downloaded after filing the application has the full names box but doesn't have any box for the address. Can you please advise if is it required to write a separate letter to give consent?

3- Should i write a letter to tell home office that we did try to contact the social workers but they refused to give their details or should i not bother about writing it?

4- Although the checklist doesn't ask for the below items, should I upload these:
1- My and my wife's passport
2- My wife's BRP FLR (M)

So I have uploaded the following so far:

1- Birth certificates
2- Marriage certificates
3- My ILR BRP

and will upload the following:
1- Parents' consent
2- Referees

Is there any thing I am missing?

Much appreciated for your help.

Thank you

Yes

Just add a separate consent letter with contact details

3- Should i write a letter to tell home office that we did try to contact the social workers but they refused to give their details or should i not bother about writing it?
You can mention it in the cover letter

4- Although the checklist doesn't ask for the below items, should I upload these:

Hi All.

I have finally received the British Citizenship Certificate for one of my two daughters and I hope to get the second one as well soon after Christmas. If i receive both certificates and we travel back home on our national passports. Would my daughters be able to get back into the country by just showing the citizenship certificates?

If they don't have a British passport or a valid visa, they won't be able to board a plane to come back to the UK. A certificate is a piece of paper and the airlines won't accept it as it is not a travel document.

I suggest you apply for passports using one week fast track service before you travel if they don't have valid visas.
