Going to Donegal area through northern Ireland

Post by Myself_andI » Sun Aug 25, 2019 1:18 pm

Hi guys,

Quick question.

I will go to Donegal area in Letterkenny area and google maps gives us route through Northern Ireland.

My wife has Stamp 4. She is from a visa free country meaning that she doesn’t need visa to travel in Europe.I know UK is different though.

Can we pass though Northern Ireland or we will have issues if we get stopped?

Thanks

So does she need a visa to enter UK or not?
If no, you can travel without any issue.
If yes, then she legally needs a visa.

In reality, the chances are very slim that you will be stopped by a border police. I wouldn’t risk it though if you intend to get your wife naturalised in a few years.

She can travel to all EU countries without visa except IR and UK so I would take your advise Which seems logical and not risk it in general.

Thanks
