IELTS for UKVI + UK NARIC

Dear All,

By profession I'm a Civil Engineer having Bachelor and Master Degree from Pakistan (In English), and currently working in the State of Qatar (Middle East). Recently i got an employment offer from UK Based Company [Job is in short occupation list]. I got sponsorship and applied for Tier 2 (General) Visa, but my entry clearance was refused by UK HO due to Standard IELTS instead of IELTS for UKVI.

Now I have decided to apper in IELTS for UKVI and reapply. but this time i am extra careful to fulfill all requirements before applying. My question here is that IELTS for UKVI alone will work OR i will also need my degree attested from UK NARIC. No any any such requirement from my sponsor.

Help required in this regards.

IELTS for UKVI with at least 4 bands in each category would be sufficient.

If you have the necessary IELTS for UKVI qualifications, you do not need to get anything from the UK NARIC.

Can you please clarify whether i need IELTS for UKVI (Academic Or General Training)? As stated above, my Designation in UK will be Geo-technical Engineer. No any such requirement from my sponsor.

What do you think about Academic? It will be more on safer side? Doctor from Pakistan is going for Academic but i certainly don't know the case specifically for Engineers.

Academic is for students i.e Tier 4.
The safer option is general training for Tier 2 (general) visa.
