worked in 3 different countries in last 12 months

Post by maybe » Fri Jul 18, 2008 1:47 am

Hi,

I plan to apply for Tier1 visa. Last 12 months details:

--- First 6 months worked and earned in US - Band A

--- Next 3 months worked and earned in India - Band D

--- Last 3 months worked in UK and earned in UK as well as in India (My company gives Indian salary and UK allowance, while working in UK)
- Band A

My understanding on the way calculations should be done:

1. For the period, when I was in US, I would convert the total earnings from US dollars to pounds.

2. For the period, when I was in India, I would have to convert Indian gross salary to Pounds and then apply a multiplying factor of 5.299 as well (since I lived and earned in Band D).

3. For the period when I am in UK, I will have to convert my indian gross salary to pounds and then add that total to my UK allowance (earned during this period).

4. Finally, I would add the above 3 totals to find my total earnings (in pounds) for the last 12 months.

Any idea, whether the way I am doing is correct?

Thanks,

geriatrix

Yes, your understanding is correct. Just a minor note, you can use 5.3 instead of 5.299 :)
