Financial requirement for FLR-Spouse

Post by Zee732 » Wed Sep 04, 2019 8:36 pm

Hi all
I will be grateful if you can please help.
I am applying for my wife's extension after her initial 2.5 years.
My wage is over £2000 per month before tax however I started this employment 6 months ago but because I started from 11/3/19 my first month's pay was around £1350.
Do I fulfill category A requirement?
My wife also works and she gets around £700 per month

I will appreciate your help
Thank you

If your wages are fixed then HO will take the lowest wages figures of £1350 which alone wont be sufficient to fullfill the financial requirement. Therefore, you both should combine your wages to meet the requirement. Also if her visa is not expiring very soon from now then you can wait another month to complete 6 months with your alone income of £2000 to apply under category A with less paper work.

Hi
Many thanks are dear for your quick reply.
Her visa is expiring on 14/09 so not much time.
So her and mine combine wages for six months?under category A?
Or do you think it's better if I apply in the category B? But there is not enough time to get a letter from the previous employer.
Please advice.
Thank you

If you both are working for same employer from at least 6 months then apply under category A otherwise category B. Remember that not everyone gets asked about employer letter from previous employer.

Photos-please advice

Post by Zee732 » Sat Sep 14, 2019 10:12 am

Hello
I thank you all for your valuable advice which has helped thousands.

We have submitted my wife’s FLR, first extension after her initial 2.5 years visa.

I believe we have submitted everything including correspondence but forgot to include photographs e.g photos we have taken to gather on honeymoon, holidays and on a family occasion.
This is is causing severe stress.
Can someone please advise if this will have any negative impact on the application?

Thank you

Photos of you together is NOT required for an extension and neither is WhatsApp chats etc!! You only need the evidence of cohabitation for the last two years.

I don’t think you need to include photos as you both are living in cohabitation. It’s an extension not first time application.
