Confusion whether job is under Shortage occupation list

Hi all,
I am currently applying for ILR and am under the SOC code 2126 whose shortage occupation description is given below:
"Only the following jobs in this occupation code:

design engineer in the electricity transmission and distribution industry
The following jobs in the automotive design and manufacturing industry:

product development engineer
product design engineer
The following jobs in the electronics system industry:
integrated circuit design engineer
integrated circuit test engineer"

I work in a manufacturing company as a Research and Development engineer. Now I am not sure whether my job title comes under the Shortage occupation list or not. Could someone please help me with this?

From October 6th onwards, all jobs with code 2126 will be included on the shortage list.

Shortage occupation applies to those who have a CoS issued on or after 6th October for a shortage occupation job. If your visa and cos is before this date, the old SOC rules apply.

In the document, it states the following:
" The following sections shall take effect on 6 October 2019. However, if an applicant
has made an application for entry clearance or leave to remain using a Certificate of
Sponsorship that was assigned to them by their Sponsor before 6 October 2019, the
application will be decided in accordance with the Immigration Rules in force on 5
October 2019.
• Appendix A – Paragraphs A25, A26, A28, A29, A32 and A34
• Appendix J – Paragraphs J6 and J8 to J12
• Appendix K – Paragraphs K1 to K5 "

My SOC code comes under Appendix K. Does this mean, the changes apply to my application of leave to remain on the 15/10/2019?

No it does not as you do not need a new CoS for ILR. The bit above clearly states 'Leave to Remain using a CoS' As your CoS is dated before 6th October, the old SOC Appendix J rules will apply.
