Critical skills Work Permit

I’ve been working as a Warehouse Team Lead for about 8 months now in one of the biggest companies in Ireland. I have a first class honours degree in Masters of Supply Chain Management from DIT. Despite working in the same field which I’ve done my masters in, my critical skills permit was refused. The refusal letter says that the occupation doesn’t fall under the list of eligible categories. I’m having a meeting with my employer next week but I’m not sure if I’d be able to counter the decision. Please advise.

Warehouse team lead is not an eligible occupation for work permit purposes.

Does that mean I won’t be able to apply for a general one either?
My work profile covers the profile of an Inventory analyst as well. Would that help ?
