CoS salary: can it be changed after visa application submission/visa approval?

Post by tascott » Wed Oct 09, 2019 10:17 pm

This is a bit of a niche question, so please bear with me.

My friend has been offered a shortage occupation job and has just received today her CoS from her employer. However, the salary on the CoS is incorrect (42k) and significantly lower than what she was expecting.

So the Q is: can the salary paid to a tier 2 general visa holder change significantly (say 10-20k) from what is stated on the CoS?

She fears that if she completes her visa application with this CoS, she may be stuck with this lower salary in her job for years. And due to her present tier 2 visa expiring next week, she fears there may not be time to go through all the bureaucracy of confirming the salary with hr and getting a new CoS.

A second Q is: is the salary amount quoted on the CoS the amount earned for the hours quoted, or the full time equivalent?
