PBS dependant extension after main applicant get ILR

Post by imwannabe » Fri Oct 11, 2019 12:29 pm

Hello, my wife has got her ILR and I am applying for Tier 2 PBS dependent extension as its not been 5 years since I have been her dependent.

In the application, there is a question where I need to provide her BRP. Should this be her old Tier 2 BRP or current ILR BRP?

I ask this because there is another question in the same section where they ask for her Visa Category. And here they have mentioned that even if your partner has got an ILR, chose the PBS tier under which they were granted leave before (which is Tier 2 General).

Will appreciate the clarification.

Thanks.

Ilr brp as she no longer holds a tier 2 visa.

Mentioning tier 2 in your second question is fine.

Thank you so much for your super quick response. Appreciate it! There is another question (irrelevant) which asks "has your spouse' sponsor agreed to certify your expense"? It seems irrelevant and I am planning to say No. Hope that makes sense.

Many thanks.

No would be the correct answer as you have to provide evidence of 90 days maintenance funds using bank statements.

Hello, I had another question with regards to my PBS dependent extension application (wife has just got an ILR). One of the questions on the form is:

“Have you ever had a penalty for a driving offence, for example disqualification for speeding or no motor insurance?”

I have never had any disqualification ever, but did pay a fine online once (received a letter in post) for £65 for blocking a yellow box.

Should I say yes or a no to this question?

Many thanks.

To be more specific, this is the exact question. Many thanks.

Convictions and other penalties:
At any time have you ever had any of the following, in the UK or in another country?
A criminal conviction
A penalty for a driving offence, for example disqualification for speeding or no motor insurance
An arrest or charge for which you are currently on, or awaiting trial
A caution, warning, reprimand or other penalty
A civil court judgment against you, for example for non payment of debt, bankruptcy proceedings or anti-social behaviour
A civil penalty issued under UK immigration law

I would say YES as it is a driving offence. Explain in detail of the offence in comments section.

Hi,
I am in a similar situation I have got an ILR and my wife will need an extension before she can apply for ILR.
So do the main applicant need to be in the same company from where he got his tier 2 visa to be eligible to apply for pbs dependant 's extension?

Please start your own topic instead of digging up older threads to tag onto.

This question is asked almost daily in the forum and the same advice given repetitively.
