HSMP & maintenance funds::: 3 months befor EC?

Hi Forum,

I have an HSMP approval letter dated 30th June 2008. Now I am planning to apply for EC, however, I am confused about maintenance funds requirement. The home office website say that maintenance funds requirement be met by HSMP letter holders as well. Now obviously, when I applied for HSMP (in Feb 2008) I didnt have 2800 GBP in my account maintained for 3 months, so does that mean that maintenance funds requirement be met for EC application? Meaning that I keep my balance above 2800 GBP for 3 months and then apply for EC?

Is there any chance that the Embassy will check my bank statements for period of 3 months before initial date of application (feb 2008) and consider that period for maintenance funds? Confused. Kindly advice.

No

Maintenance funds need to be maintained 3 months before your EC application date. (and not HSMP approval date).
