How to use the return label

Hi, I went today for biometric appointment, the asked me to send more bills for the past 2 years to prove me and my partner have been living together.
they gave me a return label and advice me to use it to send the documents, sorry for my question but should I stick the label on the envolope and send it or enclose it inside with the rest of the documents and write the address ?

If the return label has an address and some numbers / reference / bar code in it, then stick it outside the envelope.

If you have the option to revisit them again with the missing documents then preferably use that one.
