Spouse Visa from BOLIVIA

Post by JessiDflores » Fri Oct 25, 2019 6:51 pm

Hi all,
I’m hoping someone can help me on this one; my husband and I are waiting for a response for our Spouse Visa which was submitted by our solicitor on 25/09/19 and he had his biometrics and passport submitted on 08/10/19 in VFS Global La Paz. I’ve not received any updates as to whether they’ve received the application/been assigned an officer and was wondering how we get this information? Would my solicitor be getting the updates or my husband?

Also, with the political instability happening in Bolivia at the moment, would it affect the application processing time? My solicitor said it should only take 2-3 months to get a decision even if he’s an overstayer; I’ve got severe separation anxiety and it’s only been 1 month since the documents were submitted online. Thank you for your time!

Usually there is charge of keeping you updated with the progress via sms, if you have opted to that service then will start receiving the texts otherwise you might get the standard email of not straightforward case shortly.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Thanks for the reply; I didn’t opt for the service update but just wanted to know if we would receive an email via ourselves or legal representative.
Thanks seagul

Hey, we submitted my wifes application on the 26th on Sept and had the biometrics on the 30th all in Mexico. We are doing it through a London based lawyer who specialises in spouse visas. She told us its still to early to get an update so I wouldn't stress you just need to be patient.

Ah okay, yeah we’re going through a London based lawyer also. If you wouldn’t mind, could you keep me updated on your timeframe also? I’m struggling to find data regarding (spouse visa) entry clearance application times for Latin America in general and I know every application is different, but I like to get rough ideas

Hi, so today his application got approved!! We received the email to notify the receipt of application from Sheffield on the 14th November 2019, and received the approval decision today 06th December 2019! I was so concerned that we’d be waiting at least 12 weeks to tell us the application is complicated. Absolute over the moon and couldn’t be better timed. Best Christmas present I could’ve asked for ❤️
