Police Report Check required. First job in NHS, On Spouse Visa

Hi All,

My husband just came to the country, from Nigeria, on a spouse visa.
Now, he has been offered a job in the NHS but to complete his ‘checks’ he needs to provide a Police/Criminal record check before he can finally start working for the trust.

How do we go about this when he’s not in Nigeria?
(we have read that he needs to do submit something to Scotland Yard then take his fingerprint to Ikoyi, in Nigeria).

The process is just a bit confusing for us so if anyone could shed some light if they have been in the same situation and what they did, that would be great

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
