Permanent Residence and Indefinite Leave to remain?

Post by prat05 » Wed Jul 30, 2008 2:14 pm

Hi friends,

I thought Indefinite leave to remain is same as permanent residence, but after going through a few threads I think I am confused now. Is there really a difference between the two? And if so, what?

Regards,
Prat

ILR is a term used under the UK Immigration Rules. Permanent Residence is a term used under European Law. See also Difference between uk and EEA2
