Have they contacted your referees?

Hi all,

For the applicants in 2019 and 2018 do you know if the citizenship department have contacted you referees or not? do they usually contact them?

I have my friend who applied on the same day that I have had applied (11/1/2019) and they had contacted 2 of her referees, but for me they didn't contact any of them yet and I'm still in stage 2.

I think they contact the referees Extremely rarely. I applied in 2018 and attended the ceremony in Waterford earlier this year. My referees weren’t contacted .
