ILR (spouse, 5-year route) - question about early application

Post by crispy » Mon Dec 23, 2019 5:16 pm

In February, my Canadian wife (I'm a BC) will be 1.5 years into her FLR(M) extension. We'd be a year away from being able to apply for ILR.

In reality, she'll have been here legally for 5 years with no significant absence.

- 1 year on a TIER 5 young person's mobility visa
- 2.5 years on FLR(M)
- 1.5 years on FLR(M) extension.

Thanks to that first year adding to her run of physical presence, could she in February apply for ILR? Or must the 5 years all have been under the FLR(M) visas?

Thank you and Season's Greetings.

She needs 5 years on FLR M.

Tier 5 does not count and is not an eligible category for ilr under the 5 year route
Char (CR001 not Casa)
