Tier 2 Dependent visa applying for extension

Post by Yamadista09 » Thu Jan 02, 2020 11:11 pm

Hi Everyone,

I hope that you can give me an advice or suggestion regarding to my plan of applying my Tier 2 PBS Dependent extension. My Visa and my husband visa are both expering this coming March 15, 2020. He is in a process of applying for ILR 28 days before it will expire. Can anyone tell if I need to apply for Tier 2 PBS dependent visa extension or should I switch for family visa. My second question is when should I apply for the extension? Should my husband include me in his application or should I apply separately ??

Any prompt answers is such a great help we are been stressout dealing this matter. Whether should I apply early before his visa get expired or should I apply it along with his application.

Thank you so much..

Jhenny

Is he applying for ilr based on 5 years tier 2?? If he meets the requirements, he can apply for ilr within 28 days before the 5th anniversary of the initial visa issue date.

If he is applying for ilr based on tier 2, you can continue on your tier 3 dependent visa and apply for an extension. 90 days maintenance of £630 required and proof of 2 years cohabitation in both names. It will be a 3 year extension.
My second question is when should I apply for the extension? Should my husband include me in his application or should I apply separately ??
Ideally once he has ilr but definitely before your visa expires. No, he cannot include you in his application if you do not qualify for ilr (you don't state when your initial visa was issued). Your application is separate.
