Wedding outside UK

Hi.
My daughter is going to be married to a student who is studying PhD in UK on full scholarship and his visa is valid till 2022.
We are planning her wedding abroad (in our home country) as boys whole family is there.
We want to make sure that:

1. Do we still need to register their wedding here in UK?
2. Will this registration makes spouse visa process easier/quicker?
3. Should we register their wedding in UK before it's actually done or after ?

2. Irrelevant. If the marriage is recognised in home country it does not have to be registered in the UK.
