Non EEA Naturalisation - Application query

Post by satgl » Fri Jan 31, 2020 9:03 am

Hi,
Could any of you please suggest whether the 3 points received (for speeding 90 km/hr against 80 km/hr limit) on license from Jan 2016 to Jan 2019 to be declared under Background section 11.1, which says "Have you ever committed any offences against the laws of Ireland or any overseas country?"

There is another question at 11.3 which says "Do you have any convictions in the State or any other country (including traffic offences) or any civil judgement made against you?"

I have paid fine but do not have any receipt for the same. Since speed driving is traffic offense and declaring under 11.3 is more appropriate than 11.1. If any one has similar experience, that would greatly help.

Thanks,

If you didn’t go to court, the first one.

You can always write to Gardai to request for a receipt or confirmation of payment.

Thank you littlerr. Will request Gardai for the receipt.

Would it have any impact on the outcome of the application process?

Just state and explain it. It won’t impact on the application.

You can use the letter sent to you from the road safety authority stating that your points has now been removed as evidence of payment because it also states that you paid the fine.

Please make sure you send only certified copies of such important letters because you won’t get anything you send back.

Good luck

Dear all,
When completing application form 8 from the latest version 6.1 January 2020, first 16 pages are instructions and the actual application start from Page 17 onwards.

Do we need to submit application from Page 17 or all pages?

Thanks a lot.

Best regards,

Hi, may I understand a little bit more about the difference between 11.1 and 11.3? Thanks.
