if there was a universal formula which every home office caseworker followed, life would have been far more easier! from my experience, its 4-8 weeks but then again it can take longer.

how long has it been?

FARIDjan, in the identical topic from a couple of days ago, you were replied that there are people that have been waiting for over a year. There is no certainty when it comes to the Home Office, it could be a week for you, and a year for your friend.
With all due respect, I know you are desperate, but posting the same topic over and over again will not speed up the process. Just be patient.
Do not live your life in fear.
