Marriage visa - travel within 2 years affecting ILR

Post by Haroon999 » Tue Aug 12, 2008 8:13 pm

Hi there,

i have been searching the forum to get an answer to this question. Basically i got married in March in Pakistan with my wife coming over in end of May. She would like to go back for one month to six weeks in late September. Could you give me some guidance on the following:

1 - Is it problematic that she would be going back to her home country so soon after entering the UK? Would this have any affect on the ILR after two years application?

2 - I understand there is a total limit of time she can stay outside the UK within two years. Is this 2 months (max of 30 days per year?) or three months etc ?

Your advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Haroon

See also Spouse Visa FLR M to SET M. Did she arrive within 28 days (4 weeks) of her visa's effective date?
