Tier 2 Extension Salary Enquiry

Hi everyone,

I am going to talk to my employer to ask for 5K raise to 30K for my tier 2 extension that I need to apply in June time ideally. I am just a bit confused about if the increase should be a few months before the application or would it make a difference if I get a raise starting from New COS date? I know it makes a difference for ILR as it doesn’t look genuine raise but I am not sure if sudden increase in my salary raises any red flags for Tier 2 extensions. Thanks!
