Note, you are not applying for a "residence permit" as that is something issued under the EEA/EU rules/regulations to EU citizens and their family.

You are applying for ILR (indefinite leave to remain) under UK immigration a rules.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -form-setm

All the same documents, English B1, liuk, financial requirement, 2 years evidence of cohabitation in both names.

2 years
Process is slighly similar to previous but this time you will have to electronically upload and send documents than sending original in post.

2 years evidence form a minimum of 3 sources.

You apply online and scan and upload your documents to the ukcvas portal before your ukcvas biomterics appointment. Nothing is posted to HO anymore.

Everything is scanned and uploaded. You take your passport to your appointment though for identity check. No originals are sent to HO.

ILR can take up to 6 months

What date did you enter the UK on a spouse visa (not a 6 month fiance visa)??

You can apply no sooner than within 28 days before the 5th anniversary of the date you entered the UK on a spouse visa.
