Set - M Are you a director or non-executive director of a No limited company based in the UK?

Post by abhardwaj1390 » Sun Mar 01, 2020 1:55 pm

Dear Members,

My wife’s application is due on 07/04/2020. I am salaried employee earning more than 18600.

Background

Company A is Dormant company since 19 Sep 2016 and two dormant accounts are filed with company’s house. I am the sole shareholder with this company.

Company B is recently registered on 22 October 2019 and also not trading at the moment. I am 50% shareholder of this company.

Both companies have no trading activity so far and have no business account.

Problem

While filling the Set M form it is asking me to tick as Director otherwise it does not let me proceed. And when I read the guide lines then there are a lot of documentation requirements. I am CONFUSED. Please advise….

Thank you for taking time to read this post.

If you do NOT want to rely on income from those companies, do NOT tick the box that says if you are a director.

Dear Zimba,

Thank you for your reply.

There are no income in these companies, no business account and no trading activity. So shall I just tick No to the question?

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Amit

- Can mortgage statement be part 6 letters or documents of correspondence

Q 3 "6 letters and/or other documents addressed to you and your partner at the same address to show that you have been living together during the past 2.5 years"
- Can I Include credit card statement for me and my wife, and motor insurance on joint name?

Q 4 - Is the following list of documents on joint names sufficient proof of living together?

2. Mortgage statement (joint Names)
3. Council tax (Joint Names)

Dear Zimba,

Thank you for your prompt response.

So credit card statements for me and my wife are acceptable as I am struggling to fill specific period. In addition, Does all these documents need to be originals or they can be online copies as well?

Regards,

Amit

All documents are digital NOW. Employer letter does not need to mention payslips. You can upload any document until the day of your appointment :!: :!: :!:

Dear Zimba,

So, In regards to Hard copies original payslips, upload is fine. No payslip authentication confirmation letters required in my wifes application? This means I satisfy the criteria as below for payslip (i)?

(i) formal payslips issued by the employer and showing the employer’s name; or
(ii) accompanied by a letter from the employer, on the employer’s headed paper and signed by a senior official, confirming the payslips are authentic;

Thank you in advance and I look forward to hearing from you.

**********URGENT***********

SET (M) Checklist

"All previous passports, travel documents or national identity cards that you have used to travel to or remain in the UK"

My wife do not have any previous passport. Under CHECKLIST it is mandatory to tick the above for SET (M) application. Otherwise, I can not proceed with the application and make payment.

PLEASE ADVISE...

Hi Amit,

I’m not an expert but my wife is on the same visa route as yours.

If she doesn’t have previous passports then you don’t need to do anything but please make sure you have the passport that was stamped with U.K. entry clearance visa(THIS IS A MUST)

As a sponsor, don’t also forget to scan your current valid passport(All pages including blanks) this is a must too and signed the declaration form

Good luck 😉
