Request for reconable residency from gnib

Hi...

My mom have been waiting since Jan 2018 for her citizenship application.
We got a letter in the post this morning requesting: Please write to D/Supt, GNIB, 13/14 Burgh Quay, requesting a letter of your reckonable residency. When you receive a response to your request, please submit a copy of the letter to this office.

has anyone else come across this request? and what was your experience?

Sounds like that the INIS isn’t fully satisfied with what she submitted, or they may simply just want to see whether she is still an ordinary resident here and whether her permissions are all up-to-date.

It’s a shame that INIS couldn’t just write to them directly and has to ask you to ask them to submit a request. Pure bureaucratic nonsense.
