UKVCAS Appointment delay

Post by underfire222 » Fri Mar 27, 2020 6:53 am

Hello All,

I am currently applying for an ILR, had my appointment with UKVCAS in croydon on 26/3 cancelled and advised to rebook another appointment despite the GOV website saying that all visa centres are temporarily closed. I managed to book another appointment on 8/4 but most probably will be canceled too

According to my ILR application, it is mandatory for me to attend a biometrics appointment with in 45 days of submission. If I am unable to attend an appointment (due to recurrent cancelation in relation to the COVID situation or staff shortages) within this 45 day timeline , Will my ILR application be voided? And if so will I get a full refund of my visa fees and then re-apply again from the beginning?

I really hope these stressful and uncertain times pass quickly for all of us.

Best Wishes

Hello,
I have my UKVCAS appointment in London (Premiere Lounge) on March 30, where does it say that all centres are closed? Its only the library centres that are closed, I reckon you will be able to apply on April 8th since you booked it already.

Feels like SSCs (Service and Support Centres) are different from UKVCAS centres. Can anyone confirm. I've an appointment in Birmingham on 2nd April.

I've got a paid appointment at the Bedford Ukvcas croydon centre on Monday 30th March 2020 at 08.00 am, it might be only the free appointments are being cancelled?
I would advise if it goes ahead, so far I havent received any notification of it being cancelled due to staff shortages.

So did you visit them although you received an email saying your appointment was cancelled?

I just got an email from UKVCAS that all appointments will be rescheduled for 6 weeks ahead, and all centres will be closed :(
