Indefinite Leave to Remain and Seperation

Post by Ifor_Williams » Fri May 22, 2020 8:59 am

If a partner has achieved ILR status based on spousal relationship and financial backing, does anything change thereafter for the migrant if they decide to separate from his/her spouse, as they would now no longer meet the pre-ILR financial requirements? Or is it the case of once you achieve ILR, then that's it and it doesn't matter what happens thereafter?

No. Once a person has ilr they are independent of any pre ilr requirements.

Yes.
