British Citizenship and right of abode

Post by Bukka2013 » Mon May 25, 2020 2:15 pm

Dear All,

My son 6 years of age, ( Born to Father who is a UK citizen and Mum Indian citizen at the time of his birth) has had an Indian passport with right of abode since Birth. We did not take British citizenship for him at the time of his birth.

Am I right in assuming that we can apply for British Passport for him straight away? or does he need a naturalisation certificate?

Many thanks for your advice

Bukka

Passport directly if born after you became British or if you are British from birth.

He will lose the right to the right of abode sticker and it will be cancelled.
