Can I apply as dependent?

Hi,
I am currently 24 years old and I have been financially dependent on my mother as I was completing university and etc. She immigrated to the UK last year as a parent of a British citizen (my younger brother).

Now I would like to join them, but I would like to know if I can apply as a dependent child? I am employed and I am dependent on my parents for finances as I am preparing for further studies.


Please let me know if the above is possible or is there some other route?

P.S. I had an ILR as a child which got revoked because I wasn't able to travel to the UK due to some family reasons.

The circumstances you are describing don't show any immigration option.

As an adult a financial dependency on someone residing in the UK doesn't usually open any right. If your mother was an EEA citizen (holds a European passport), it would have been another story.

So the only way I can go and live there is through the tier 4 visa?

The only way you can return to the UK is to find any visa you qualify for, i.e. Tier 4, Tier 2, Investor visa, Start Up Visa, Tier 5 if from a qualifying country, Global Talent visa.

For Tier 2 you need an employer sponsor, same with some sub categories of Tier 5 (not Tier 5 youth mobility though if you are from a qualifying country). Investor and start up visas you need endorsement and thousands of pounds of funds to invest in a business. Global Talent you also need endorsement before you can apply for a visa.
