ILR Checklist for Dependents !

Post by inspired2020 » Mon Jun 22, 2020 9:37 pm

Hello Everyone !

First of all thanks for all the help during my citizenship application process. Means a lot !
Finally British now !

I am preparing to apply for my wife's and 2 kids's ILR next month. They are on dependent visas at the moment. I will be so grateful if someone can suggest what else i need to prepare ?
My checklist:

1. Application forms
2. passports and Biomatric cards
3. council tax and tenancy agreements (last 3 years or 5 ?)
4. wife's bank statements (not sure for how long?)
5. kids birth certificates
6. Marriage certificate
7. wife's English test certificate
8. Life in UK
9. My British Passport

what else i am missing please ? Do i need more proofs for kids ?
Thank you all once again ! Stay Safe !

Looks fine. Cohabitation only for 3 years. No need for bank statements

ANY document can be used for cohabitation. You are NOT part of the application so no need to declare you are getting benefits

Thanks Zimba !

So Bank statement can be her third cohabitation document right ?
Also P60 can be consider as a cohabitation as its only one page a year, otherwise bank statements going to be so many pages (3 years =36 monhts). Thanks

thank very much Zimba , its is very helpful.
I just filled all the application forms now and going to pay and submit.
Few more points to clear please:
At the end of application there is checklist which includes mine declaration to confirm consent for HO for verification checks. ( any template available online) ?
There is a question : Evidence of wife's Immigration status ? is it a biomatric ?
Also am i submitting all pages of passport copies or just front and back (we have old and new passports).

Her BRP card.
Also am i submitting all pages of passport copies or just front and back (we have old and new passports).

Thanks you @Cr001 for your quick reply !

i am just on the last page of my application (word pay) payment page.
just want to double check one thing again as it was bit confusing about benefits question. I know zimba you aleardy said no need to mention if i am claiming benefits as i am not part of the application, BUT
its mentioned in the question if your partner or child claiming benefit then need to mention.
Please clear this one more time as i dont want it to get refused incase i need to mention about me claiming universal credit and child benefit. its over £7000 so just want to double check. Thank you !

You claiming benefits you are entitled to claim is irrelevant to the ILR application.

Thanks very much for clarification Zimba and Cr001 .
Just submitted and paid. Trying to book appointment but availability showing in any centre in UK. Am i getting a email or something where i can book? or i need to keep checking everyday ?
There is another link apart from "Book Appointment", "Download consent form" for verification checks.
Is it me signing that form or my wife ?
Reason I am asking that under the checklist there is a document i need to provide:
"Declaration signed by 'my name' to confirm consent for the home office to request verification check"
so are these 2 different forms we talking about ? Thanks

They are dealing with the applicants in the date order applications were submitted, so March first, then April, then May etc etc.

https://www.ukvcas.co.uk/flash-message- ... geId=56249
UKVCAS - update 26th Jun 2020

“ From June 29th, we’ll be releasing more appointments, adding new sites and opening up the booking system to more customers in phases based on registration dates.”

“ In order to be fair to everyone, we are continuing to open up the booking system in date order starting with people who registered with UKVCAS after the 27th March but did not have an appointment due to the COVID-19 lockdown. We are continuing to work from the earliest to the most recent registrations as we think this is the fairest and best approach to take.

If you are one of these customers, you will have received an email from us asking you to book an appointment. The email will have full instructions about next actions.”

Hi

I made a mistake i think in the application form where it says:
"Does the period of stay on which this application was based include any leave granted since 11 jan 2018?
I answered YES to this question and next follow up question was: "Have you had any absence from UK from 11 jan 2018 till now", and I answer = NO

I just checked our passports while scanning, we were away from 2nd jan 2018 to 13th jan 2018.
would this be problem ? Do i need to provide a document explaining that i made a mistake ?

Heading of the question was:
LEAVE GRANTED ON OR AFTER 11 JANUARY 2018
Q: Does the period of stay on which this application was based include any leave granted since 11 January 2018 ?
I answered - YES (Don't know if it was the right answer as i don't think if I did understood the question)
Next question was :
Q: Have you had any absences from UK during any leave granted since 11 January 2018 ?
I answered - NO

note : wife and kids visa was renewed in june 2019 (if any relevance )

Please help me out !

The answer is yes as their most recent visa was granted AFTER 11 Jan 2018.

You need to list absence since the last visa issue date if they have

Thanks @CR001

BUT on the form it mentioned since 11 jan 2018.
"Have you had any absences from UK during any leave granted since 11 January 2018" ?

and we were away from 2nd jan to 13 jan 2018. which are 2 days over.

Only absences since any visa grant date issued after 11 January 2018. So absence since 19 June 2019.

The question clearly state any leave granted in or after that date. So absence only since the most recent visa date.
