Set (LR) application

Post by kraviraj82 » Mon Jun 22, 2020 11:43 pm

Hi,

I am travelling in 10 Year LR route for ILR and I am eligible to apply in August. I have a question which date should I consider for 10 Year - 28 Day calculation, is it Date of Visa Issue or Date of Entry. My UK VISA was granted on 9th Sep 2010 and I entered UK on 16th Sep 2010.

In the forum I am can see people considering Date of Entry but in the HO website its either of one, so confused pl clarify.

https://www.gov.uk/long-residence/eligibility

Your 10-year qualifying period starts from either:

when you arrived in the UK with a visa
when you were given permission to stay in the UK

Thanks
Ravi

1. Do NOT tag your question onto other members topics.

3. Your ilr clock starts from the date you ENTERED the UK and NOT your visa start date.
