Switch from ICT to Tier 2 sponsored visa

Post by arjunkap » Tue Jul 07, 2020 10:12 pm

Dear Immigration Board,

First I am very grateful and thankful for this Forum , you guys are the light in the dark tunnel I am in!

I came to UK on 24Jan2020 though ICT for a period of one year and due to corona virus my company has asked me to return to India, I am mostly returning to India by end of this July2020/Aug first week.

In this situation can I apply for a tier 2 sponsorship visa as I have not completed the entire 1 year in ICT visa ?

I just wanted guidance and your blessing to move forward.

Thanks,
AJ

No you cannot. It has nothing to do with how long you have been in the UK. It has to do with the visa category you have.

I think you can if your new employer pays you more than £ 159,600 per year.

Yes, the 12 months cooling off period still applies, except in only very few circumstances.

Your 12 month cooling off period starts from the date you left the UK.
