WHAT documents donee require for Naturalisation

Post by mfq16 » Sat Jul 25, 2020 9:03 am

Hello
Can anybody explains the list of documents required if applying for naturalisation after 1 year of having ILR. Also the applicant is working as a self employed since the last 5 years.
Also can i go out of country on holidays after applying as the Sopra Steria will return the documents.
Also how long potentially they take now a days during this pandemic Time to make a decision.
Please advise and oblige.
Thanks

You are free to travel after naturalisation application.
The standard is up to 6 months but can take longer due to the pandemic and it varies case to case.

Application dates issue

Post by mfq16 » Mon Aug 24, 2020 6:42 am

Hello everyone
Just a quick one as I’ve applied for British naturalisation. Previously I had ILR which originally I applied on August 15, 2019 using a super priority service and get the decision same day while the letter issued to me was on August 21, 2019 and the brp issued on 23/08/2019.
Now I’ve applied for the naturalisation this morning and paid the fee. My concern is the payment confirmation page showing that the payment was successful on August 23, 2020 while I made the payment on August 24, 2020 at 00.18am and at the same time the application submitted shows August 24, 2020.
Is there any problem regarding the application as I’ve to apply 12 months after ilr for naturalisation but it seems that the payment was made on the 365th day?
Please advise
Thanks

Hi

I have a similar question. Say I got my ILR on Aug 29 2019 - do I apply on Aug 29 2020 or Aug 30th?

Thanks

You can apply on Aug 29 2020, provided you were physically in the UK on Aug 30 2015 (at the start of the five year period immediately preceding the date of application).
