Tier 2 Visa for GPs

Post by Sinan87 » Thu Aug 27, 2020 4:21 pm

Hello

I am on Tier 2 general visa, I came to UK in 2015 then started GP training in 2017, my CoS in 2017 was (Tier 2 General-change of employment-ISC exempt), I finished training last month and now looking to start a new job as GP with a new employer.

Please could you advice what type of CoS is correct for me Restricted Vs Unrestricted ? The employer has requested Restricted CoS stated because of my role as GP , is this correct ?

You need a Unrestricted CoS as you are already in the UK.

Restricted CoS are for: see (https://www.gov.uk/uk-visa-sponsorship- ... rtificates)

- Tier 2 (General) workers currently abroad who’ll be paid less than £159,600 a year and are not in an inward investment post
- family members (dependants) of Tier 4 migrants who are switching to a Tier 2 visa

The role is irrelevant.

Hope it helps!
