Can FD & Bank Account fulfill Maintenance fund requireme

Post by yogeshjagarwal » Thu Sep 04, 2008 2:19 pm

Hello

I am going to apply for HSMP next week.
I had one query regarding maintenance funds.

I have 3000 pounds for last 3 months but out of that 2500 are in FD form and 500 pounds are in my savings account. This FD is also in the same bank in which i hold my savings account.

Can someone please guide me whether this provision of maintenance funds will help me get through???

Thanks Vijay for your response.

Yes i am applying under PBS Tier 1 only.

I am plannin to attach original FD receipt along with the covering note from bank mentioning that this amount is deposited with them and can be withdrawn any time required. Also i have taken separate 3 months bank statement which has remaining funds deposited in it.
Both FD and savings account are in same bank and i have separate covering letter for both.
Whould this be fine or i need to do something else for showing my maintenance funds?
Is there anything that i need to specifically mention in my covering note when mentioning about maintenance funds??
