Expired TB Test

Hi everyone,

My partner submitted their passport in February (overturned decision/spouse visa). Because of the pandemic situation, they still have not received the passport/vignette. UKVI (Sitel) advised the passport should be returned within 4 weeks, but my partners TB Test expired a few days ago.

Will they need to take a further TB Test? If they do not, whats the worst than can happen when they arrive in the U.K? Who actually checks the date of the certificate?

They may ask your partner to take another TB test before issuing the visa or at the British port.

Will they need to take a further TB Test? Except where they are specifically contacted by Ho to get fresh clear TB cert then do not go and do any test. If they do not, whats the worst than can happen when they arrive in the U.K? If not asked to take a fresh test then nothing can happen, if asked then do it, learnt people can also be tested at POE. Who actually checks the date of the certificate? At point of entry, the Immigration Officer may ask for them to present TB cert. Even if you are not asked to take fresh one by HO, when coming to UK ensure spouse has the expired one at hand or in hand luggage to show if/when asked.

Good precaution but still if in case where border/airport immigration staff detect any whiff/traces of infection or illness then may impose their own health test on airport.
