IHS Refund: Tier 2 In-country change of employment

Post by honestguy2020 » Sat Sep 19, 2020 1:37 pm

Hi Folks,

Hope you're all doing well in these times.

Need some. Guidenace on the IHS refund for the scenario as below:

1. Came to the UK in Dec 2017 on Tier 2 General.
2. Changed my employer within UK on 28th Jan 2020 and got the new BRP. Also, received the IHS refund of the previous visa application on my Indian debit/credit card, as I paid again for new application.
3. Due to covid my joining was getting delayed and I never joined the second Company.
4. Due to this I applied for new roles, got another sponsorship (lucky) and applied for a second change of employment and now I'm working with them.
5. I got the decision on 25th August and received my new BRP in the same week.

Question - I haven't received my IHS refund for the second a application for which I paid the IHS in January.

Is due to covid 19 the timelines are affected.
Earlier I got the refund in 5 working days.

Please share you thoughts.
TIA

I don't see any question!
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.

IHS refunds can take up to 6 weeks from the date you pay the new IHS.

If you haven't received any payment within 6 weeks, you can contact UKVI: https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside- ... extensions

Hope it helps!
