No. ESOL is not accepted anymore. She needs SELT at level B1
Correct.- Based on reading some posts, it is no longer required to have signed passport photos for applicant and sponsor. Is this correct?
The date of application is the date you submit and pay online, this is the relevant date to your documents. Uploading document is irrelevant to this as your documents can be uploaded up to the day before your biometric appointment.- The date of the application is the one we submit online application and upload documents on, so the 28 day rule is based on that day?
Correct.- We only need to upload scanned copies of the supporting documents (including passports), no need to provide original ones (still take them to appointment just in case)?
And finally, here is our proposed supporting documents checklist. Would very much appreciate it if I can get a second opinion on them please. Like I said we'll be applying in October, so some dates will be in the future.
Personal documents:
- Applicant's passport
- Applicant's previous expired passport
- Sponsor passport
- IELTS Life Skills B1 test certificate (to be taken & completed)
- Life in the UK test (to be taken & completed)
Relationship documents:
- Marriage certificate in original non-English language
- Marriage certificate translation
- Full birth certificate of child
- Child's passport
- Letter within last 3 months from GP addressed to our child, confirming his registration
- Letter within last 3 months from nursery addressed to our child, confirming his registration
Accommodation documents:
- Land registry
- Latest mortgage statement
Financial requirements (applying under Category A):
- Bank statements showing last 6 months salary payments (September, August, July, June, May, April)
- 6 latest payslips, stamped by HR department (September, August, July, June, May, April)
- Letter from HR department giving details as requested by form (e.g. length of employment, type of employment, salary, etc)
Cohabitation documents:
Given that we are applying in October this year, I assume the cohabitation letters need to start from October 2018? Correct
Old address:
- October-2018: Bank statement (joint)
- February-2019: Water bill (joint)
Temporary address while we were selling old house and buying new one:
- July-2019: Bank statement (joint)
Current address:
- November-2019: Water bill (joint)
- March-2019 : Council tax bill (joint)
- June-2019: Bank statement (joint - to be received)
- September-2019: Bank statement (joint - to be received)
These along with corresponding bank statements should be fine.
That's a good shout. I can submit now, and given that the join bank statement I'm expecting is date on the 8th of this month, then technically it's before the submission date, so should be fine.poper wrote: ↑Fri Sep 11, 2020 4:11 pmYour application process has two parts:
1. Submitting ILR application
2. Uploading supporting documents and biometrics
Its only on Step 2 you will need your supporting documents. This buys you more time as biometrics appointment is not immediately done. In my case, I am doing biometrics 2 weeks after application submission(owing to covid delays and appointment availability).
You have time till your biometrics submission to upload supporting documents
Better yes and be unnecessary than no and be penalised.ibnadam wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 11:14 amHi all,
There is a question on the ILR form that asks if the applicant has been outside the UK. The question says not to include holidays of 2 weeks or less.
The only time the applicant has been outside the UK is on holiday between 09/07/2017 and 24/07/2017. This makes it 15 days, which is a day more than two weeks. I'm still wondering if it's worth answering the question with Yes and putting in those dates, or is it still a No because the period is not very long?
Thanks
Where did you get this???The question says not to include holidays of 2 weeks or less.
Which form is this??
ibnadam wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 8:20 pmHi all,
Question about scanning ILR documents please.
Can the sponsor declaration be scanned & uploaded on the day of the UKVCAS appointment, or does it need to be uploaded beforehand?
Anytime on/before appointment does not matter
I'm just struggling to scan the passport pages with the scanner app I have, so I'm thinking of purchasing the scanning service as that will cost the same if I was to use a local shop for scanning. Was just wondering if the declaration can be part of that too.
Also does the declaration need to be dated on the same date of submitting the application online, or can be dated any time before the UKVCAS appointment?
Does not matter can be dated anytime before the appointment
Thanks.
Yes it's in PDF format and on company letterhead (company logo + company registration number).
