The new 'I have a UKVI account' option on the prove right to work websie

Hi all

Just noticed that the prove right to work website now got a new option of 'I have a UK Visas and Immigration account' at the beginning, which then ask for passport number or brp card. does anyone know what the new option would do and how does it different from the original option of 'I have a biometric residence card or permit'?
