On my ILE visa in my passport, there is an expiry date of 01/06/2008 (two years after it was valid). This is what has caused so much confusion at embassies and airlines as they claim my visa has expired.
In cases of ILE the ‘validity date’ on the visa should match the expiry date on the passport. When the applicant gets a new passport,

ILE is same as ILR
Better to transfer it to BRPWhen the applicant gets a new passport, they can apply to UK Border Agency for a transfer of conditions into their new passport. They do not need to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR).

Carry ur current passport plus the one containing the vignette. Carry a copy of the statement that allows you to do so and show to airlines and immigration officials in other countries.
Even then not everyone’s gonna believe you. You will encounter someone who will waste ur time, energy and money.
Yes, since the date your ILE vignette expired to prove you have not lost your ILE status due to absence of 2 years or more.
