COS for 5 years when company has licence for 4 years

Hi,

My Company has newly got Licence to sponsor visa for 4 years. Can my company generate Certificate of Sponsorship for 5 years and assign it me?

1. Will COS have end date?

2. Will i get Visa for 3 years or 5 years based on the end date in the Certificate of sponsorship?

3. If my company can provide me COS and Visa for 5years even though they have license for 4 years then what should be the end date in my COS?

COS will always have an end date otherwise makes no point in issuing it under restrictive Tier.

Your sponsorer might get his license renew after 4 years so you will get duration mentioned on your COS : 3 or 5 yrs.

If their renewal is terminated your sponsorship will also be effected so not to worry about it at the moment.
