Certified copy of Birth Certificate - is it accepted?

Post by dansunotori » Tue Oct 13, 2020 8:54 pm

For the reasons unknown, I only have two official certified copied of my son's Birth Certificate, and no original.

Would they be accepted for his Citizenship Registration, or do I have to double-up on searching for the original (red)?

What if the original is lost?

Thank you in advance.

An official copy ordered from the General Register Office should be acceptable - unless it's what you already have:

Thank you. That's what I have. The copies that were given during the registration ceremony.

I guess, we're safe.
