Can anyone who applied for TIER 4 general share their timeline as I'm wondering if there's a delay in visa processing amidst COVID-19.

I applied today from Islamabad and asked the staff, he said 15days which I don't believe after going through a few posts on this page.

Timelines appreciated.

My niece did her bio on the 23 of September.
We have not heard a word since. Yesterday made it 15 working days.

You can only wait .... and wait.

That's terrible.
Did she receive any details from university to start the course online until she gets the visa?
And was she interviewed on the day of biometric as well?
I wasn't, which was a bit strange for me because I have been a tier 4 student before and they used to take the skype interview on the day of application.

my wife applied on 10 Sept from Islamabad, and she only received email on 26 Sept about no straightforward case and since then, no response. She escalated case on 2 Oct but still its in process. I have been told that its happening to most of applicants due to COVID

Has she been refused a visa application before?

No. She never applied before for any visa.

That's her first visa application.

I have been told by UKVI today that visa decision has been made.

Hi,

I applied for Tier 4 extension with dependents on Sep 22 from within UK. All docs uploaded on Sep 23 and complete silence ever since. They say wait times are 8 weeks when I called, even though it says on UKVCAS website that it is actually a week long.

Dont know what to make of this. My uni contacted them and they said I should expect to hear something shortly. This happened a week ago. Nothing since then.

How long usually it take to get call from Gerry after decision is made?

The longest that has been with me was 2 days. Usually they do it within 1 to 2 days. But it may take a few days due to COVID.
